to the same date, the telephone number that made or received that call
according to the order you have selected.

given any person that clicks the word “Search” in the main
www.phone-id.com website even though is not a Phone-Id user, will

The option “Master Telephones” is used to list
telephone numbers that the system will automatically recognize at the
time of your making the call. Every time you make a call from a master
telephone, the system will not ask you for your Phone-Id or your password,
it will recognize it automatically.
In this way, your access to the system will be much faster.
In order to define what will be the Master Telephones you have
three options:
-
Through
our website do to the section “My Account” where you will find six
boxes in which to enter your master telephone number.
-
Through
your WAP cell phone following the corresponding menu options
-
You
may also call our system entering your account. This option though,
will only allow you to enter as master number, the telephone number
from which you called. If you reach the maximum number of Master
Telephones allowed by the system (the system allows up to six (6)
Master Telephone Numbers), the telephone number from which you are
calling will replaced the oldest Master Phone Number.
Note: This service only works when the telephone
company you are using for your call transmits the caller-id.

Changing your phone-id settings
What
is an “Active List”?
Each telephone lists can carry up to seven
(7) telephone numbers, which are used in sequence by the system at the
moment of the searching process to locate you. The system allows you
to choose up to a maximum of five (5) Telephone Lists. You should only
have one “Active List” where the system will search you. You may change
your Active List at any time according to the telephone numbers where
you wish to be located at. You may automatically program the activation
of the lists (See “How may I schedule different telephone numbers when
away on a trip?”)
You may prepare your lists according to
the different locations where you can be found i.e. (Miami, Paris, New
York, etc) or according to the time periods in which you change your
telephone numbers such as (When on holidays, during the winter time,
etc).

The function “Service Enabled” allows you
to activate or deactivate your Phone-Id Account to receive and make
calls. If you selected the box “Service Enabled” your account will be
activated immediately and you will be able to receive calls through
your Phone-Id service. If
you have not selected this box, your account will be disabled. When
a user tries to call you while your account is disabled, he will hear
a message indicating that you have deactivated your account temporarily.
This same message will be heard when your account is in red (negative
balance).
While your account is disabled, no one will
be able to leave messages in your voice mail. If you do not wish to
receive phone calls but at the same time want to receive the messages,
instead of using this function just deactivate the phones in your “Active
List” and as such you will be able to maintain your account enabled.
Advice: If you wish to have a faster and
simpler way not to receive calls, but at the same time, continue receiving
messages without deactivating all the phones one by one from your Active
List, then you just have to create a new list and call it “Disabled”.
In this new list you will not enter any phone number. Every time you
want to receive messages and not calls, simply activate this list.

“Access Code” is a function that allows
you to restrict the access of those users that are not familiar with
your access code when they call a Phone-Id number. Only those users
that know your access code will be able to contact you through the Phone-Id
service. If you select the box “Access Code” the users will have to
log in your Keyword when they call your Phone-Id. You will be able to
change your “Password” at any time.
Note: If you selected the box “Access Code”
be sure to enter the number in the required field. For instance, if
you activate “Access Code” in order to receive your spouse’s call through
your Phone-Id during this period of time. After the meeting, if you
wish to receive calls from any user deactivate the function “Access
Code”.

"Caller Announcement”” is a function
that allows you to know the name of the person calling. If you activated
this function, when the user calls using your Phone-Id, the system will
ask the name of the user and the name of the person to be reached or
owner of the account. When you receive this call, the system will let
you know both names giving you the option to answer the call or forward
it to your voice mail or simply to let it go.
-
To answer the call log onto
your password followed by the pound (#) key and you will be connected
automatically.
-
To send a call to your voice
mail box allowing the person calling to leave a message, enter your
password followed by the star (*) key and lastly the pound key (#).
-
If whoever answered the
call hangs up without having selected any of the options above,
the system will continue the search calling all the following numbers
in your list.
Furthermore, there is a fourth option through
which whoever receives the call enters only the pound (#) key and this
will make the system wait for some additional time until the person
that answered finds the user or transfers the call to him. For instance,
if you are staying at a hotel and the Front Desk receives a call for
you, the Phone-Id system will announce your name and give instructions
to the receiver to introduce the pound (#) key and following, will transfer
the call. Once you receive the call you may proceed with any of the
three above options.

“E-Mail Notification” is a function that allows you to receive the
messages registered in your mailbox through your email. If you wish
to receive registered messages through your email, select this box.
If you do not select this box, you will not be able to receive this
type of message through the email, but instead, will be able to listen
to them when you access your account by phone and choose the corresponding
menu. Remember that these are the messages left by the users in your
mail box when you do not answer a call, or if they do not know your
keyword if you have not activated the “”Access Code”” function, or when
whoever calls only wants to send a message (see “ May I receive only
a voice-mail without people having to call me?”)

“Schedule” is a function that allows you to accelerate the searching
process when you receive a call through your Phone-Id. For instance,
you may register your office number as active from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm,
from Monday to Friday, and disabled on Saturdays and Sundays. Once you
have selected a schedule for your telephone number, verify that the
box “ Schedule” is active, and as of that moment, the system will only
look you up in that phone during the periods of time you specified.
If you do not activate the box “Schedule” in a determined number, the
system will always call that telephone during the searching process
in order to locate you without taking into account day or time of the
call.

Click “Search” in our website
www.phone-id.com. Immediately you will see in the screen a search
window of Phone-Id users. Register the person’s last name to the account
or the first three letters of the name. Furthermore, you may also speed-up
the search by registering the name, city or country of the Phone-Id
user.

Accessing your Phone-Id information
You may change the information in your account by using any of our
WEB or Wap interfaces in the
www.phone-id.com website or by calling 1-866-PHONE01 (1-866-764-6301).
Once you have logged onto the system, enter the pound (#) key and this
will lead you through the different options of the menu.

If your cell phone has Internet access,
just go to the website
www.phone-id.com and follow the steps indicated in the menu. If
you do not have Internet access from your cell phone, you may use from
any other telephone and call our automated system of menus dialing 1-866-PHONE01
(1-866-746-6301).

You just have to enter http://www.phone-id.com
in your Internet browser.

All the options are similar; nevertheless, the access to the system
through the WEB is more complete and safer as some of the options can
only be defined through this interface.

Calling with Phone-Id
If you selected the service “E-mail Notification”
any user that cannot contact you by calling your Phone-Id will have
the option to record a message and send it to the email. You may check
your voice mail through your telephone by entering your account or checking
your email.

The messages registered in your voice mail
are filed by the system until you erase them or if they reach the maximum
number allowed. Furthermore, you may receive them through your email
if you selected the option “E-mail Notification”.

Activating the service “Access Code” you may limit or screen those
users that do not know your keyword when they call your Phone-Id. For
instance, if you are in a work meeting and only wish to be reached by
your spouse, activate the function “Access Code” to receive calls only
from your spouse in your Phone-Id during this period of time. Once the
meeting is over, if you wish to receive calls from any user again, deactivate
the function “Access Code”.

If you selected the service “Caller Announcement” then when someone
calls your Phone-Id, the system will ask the user to identify him. Furthermore,
the telephone numbers of all the users calling your Phone-Id will remained
registered in the “Calls Registry”.

When you receive a call you have three options:
-
To answer the call introduce your password
followed by the pound (#) key and automatically you will be connected
-
To send a call to your voice mail, allowing
for a message, introduce your password followed by the star (*)
key and then the pound (#) key
-
If whoever answered the call hangs up
without having selected any of the options aforementioned, the system
will continue the search calling all the following numbers in your
list.
Additionally, there is a fourth option through
which whoever that receives the call enters only the pound (#) key and
this will make the system to wait for an additional period of time until
the person that answered can find the user or transfers the call. For
instance, if you are staying at a hotel and the Front Desk receives
a call for you, the Phone-Id system will announce the name and give
instructions to the receiver who will have to enter the pound (#) key
and following transfer the call. Once you have received the call you
may choose any of the previous options.

Yes, when any user calls your Phone-Id and only wishes to send a message
without talking to you, must enter your Phone-Id number followed by
the star (*) and pound (#) keys and then the system will record the
message. The message is recorded in your voice mailbox; furthermore,
if you activated the option “Email Notification” the message will be
sent to your email address.

Programming Phone-Id during a trip
Through the option “Automatic Programming
to Activate Lists” you may choose what telephone list you wish to activate
depending on the time and place where you will be. Remember that the
time is subject to the local “Universal Time” that corresponds to the
destination where you are traveling.
For instance, if you have decided to travel
to Miami, Buenos and Paris you will be able to create three telephone
lists associated to each of the three cities. In each of them, you will
include the phones you will be reached at during your stay in each city.
In the graphic below you will see how, after having programmed the above
lists you may activate these lists. For instance, in this case you may
see that from August 8, 2002, 9:00 am, the system will take as active
the list called Buenos Aires (indicated time (;00 am corresponds to
the local time based on the universal time defined for Buenos Aires).
Following, on the 14th of the same month, 12:15 pm the system will change
to the active list you named Paris and lastly, Sept. 2, 5:30 pm local
time for Miami it will change to the phone list called Miami that corresponds
to the one the user – in this case – regularly uses.

If during a trip you wish to be located in phones that have different
universal timing you must write them down in separate lists and have
these grouped per universal time. For instance, if you travel to cities
such as Paris, with a universal time (GMT+1:00) and Miami (GMT+5:00)
you must prepare two individual lists. The first should include the
phone numbers under the universal time GMT+1 and the second, the phone
numbers corresponding to the universal time GMT-5.

Through the option “Schedule” you may program the telephone numbers
of any list to receive calls in different days of the week and different
hours Furthermore, you can take advantage of this function to receive
calls in a specific phone number during predetermined hours. For instance,
in one of the lists you may write your office phone number twice but
in different hours. You may schedule the first one to receive calls
between 8:00 am and 12:30 pm and the second, to receive between 1:00
pm and 5:00 pm. With this scheduling, whenever you receive a call in
your Phone-Id during the timing specified, the system will immediately
look you up in the phone number you chose, which in this case, corresponds
to your working schedule.
